National Girl Child Day

On January 24, 2023, DAV Police Public school, Faridabad celebrated National Girl Child Day. This day was established in 2008 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. The goal of National Female Child Day is to highlight the prejudice and injustice that girl children face.
DAV Police Public school Faridabad acknowledges the role of girls in national development. To raise awareness of the injustices girls face in Indian society and to spread awareness about menstrual hygiene and cervical cancer, the school organised a special workshop for girls. All the girls across Grade 6 to 10 attended the workshop and had great take aways from it.
The workshop was conducted by a renowned obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr Sabita Kumari.
Dr Sabita Kumari is a renowned Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Delhi-NCR, In her experience of over 16 years, she has been associated with renowned institutes & hospitals, namely QRG Health City, Apollo Hospital Delhi, Faridabad and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi.
